It’s all about PERCEPTION…

It is not what happens to us in life that determines how we feel. It is how we choose to interpret the things that happen to us.

Will you blame the world around you? Or will you take responsibility for your life and decide that happiness is a personal choice that you and only you can make?

We make these decisions all the time and don’t notice it. Every moment of our life we are deciding whether to be happy or not…

When that person cuts you off in traffic, do you judge them, or just let it go and think nothing of it?

When your partner doesn’t talk to you for days, do you allow worry and resentment to simmer in your mind, or do you give them space and focus on being happy with yourself?

When you can’t pay your bills, do you let thoughts of lack occupy your mind, or do you think of all the many opportunities there are in this world to improve your circumstances?

Every moment, you are deciding, and all these little decisions add up to create your dominant way of thinking. This creates a “lens” through which you see the world…

To change your life in a major way, you must change the lens through which you see by consistently making decisions that are in alignment with happiness and peace.

Over time, as you consistently choose peace above all the other enticing options, you create a mind that is in the HABIT of being peaceful, and then it becomes your natural state.

But this won’t happen by luck or chance. It takes conscious effort, but it’s much easier if you follow a mind-training regimen like the one I offer inside of Ascension Academy.

Don’t beat yourself up. If you haven’t been feeling all that great about yourself, it’s only because your mind is in the habit of thinking a certain way. It thinks that way whether you want to or not.

You can tell your mind to stop thinking negative thoughts, but it will keep on doing it anyway because that’s what it is programmed to do!

That’s why I believe “mind training” is so essential. You must train your mind to think and perceive differently, in a way that brings you a natural sense of confidence and inner peace.

3. Stop Chasing Happiness and Start CREATING It Using a Strategic Mental Training Process

Happiness doesn’t need to be an “effort” or something you always strive for, because happiness is purely within.

If you look at happiness as something external, then you will always chase it but never truly find it because everything external is subject to change. You can’t find lasting happiness through things that are not lasting!
