Let’s begin.

Control or Be Controlled by the Forces Within You

Every person on earth has two basic forces operating within themselves at all times. To keep things simple, let’s just call these forces “fear” and “desire.” Fear, although biologically its purpose is to keep us alive, is more often than not a destructive force in our lives. Instead of keeping us alive, it keeps us in our comfort zones and prevents us from taking the necessary risks to achieve our goals in life. Desire, although it can often get us in trouble, is a much more constructive and creative force than fear. Desire is what drives us to make progress. In this guide, you’re going to discover how to more intelligently use these two forces to shape your life into what you want it to be.

Most people operate with about equal amounts of fear and desire within themselves and therefore tend to make little or no progress in their lives. The two forces counteract each other. You may want something but at the same time have several fears that prevent you from doing what is necessary to achieve your goal. Even if you do manage to achieve it, it will likely feel like an immense struggle due to the amount of resistance within you. The key to motivation and “effortless” success is to reduce the resistance in the form of fear to a minimum while increasing the desire to a maximum. In this way, you can speed towards your goals with seemingly no effort at all while everyone else is struggling just to move at a snail’s pace.

Many people will tell you that “hard work” is the key to success. Personally, I think this is nonsense. If something feels “hard” to do, it only means that you are doing the thing while simultaneously resisting it. I’m sure you have had times in your life when you were doing physical labor but it did not feel like a huge effort. If you get into the flow of the moment, whatever you are doing becomes effortless. It’s like in sports when the athlete is in the middle of making a big play. Ask them how much “effort” they were using and they might tell you none at all. How can this be? It’s very simple. Although some things do require mental and physical energy, these things do not have to feel “difficult” if you know how to reduce all resistance. In fact, if you know how to reduce resistance to almost zero while ramping up your desire, ordinarily difficult activities not only become easy but they become very enjoyable too!

In the rest of this guide, you’re going to discover several strategies for removing this internal resistance while simultaneously increasing your desire so that achieving your goals becomes a joyous process. You’re going to learn how to start enjoying every step on the journey rather than struggling and striving to achieve something but feeling miserable in the process. Say goodbye to your limitations. Say hello to a life of infinite possibilities.

If You Knew You Couldn’t Fail

Do you know why most people never achieve what you might call “greatness”? It’s not because they don’t have what it takes. It’s because they don’t know how to use the power that is already within themselves. Most people believe they are limited in what they can achieve and therefore their actions remain consistent with their beliefs. They don’t allow themselves to dream BIG because they have no knowledge of their own power. Today, you’re going to discover how powerful you really are.

What would you do if you knew you could not fail? This is how you need to be thinking from now on. You need to think BIGGER. Stop pretending to be limited. Your beliefs about yourself are self-fulfilling prophecies. If you keep thinking the same way, you are going to keep getting the same results in your life. Motivation is 99.9% psychology. If you want to change your life, you have to change your thinking. If you want BIG results, you have to think BIG.

Small dreams don’t inspire because they have no pulling power. Most people are pushing themselves towards success and that is why they are stressed out and unhappy. However, when you have a BIG dream, there is no pushing required. Big dreams are like big planets in the solar system that attract other objects to them. The more mass something has, the stronger the gravitational pull. It’s basic science. Big dreams have big mass and big pulling power. Big dreams have such a strong pulling power that you really have no choice but to go along for the ride! Having big dreams is one of the secret keys to never-ending motivation and a joyous life.

Many people mistake goals for dreams. A goal is not a dream. A goal is something that can be achieved within perhaps the next 1-5 years. A dream is something much bigger. A dream is something that takes at least one lifetime to achieve. Ideally, your dream should be something that spans far beyond your lifetime. Why would you consider creating something that is beyond your life? Remember, it’s not a goal. The purpose of your dreams is not to achieve your dreams. Say what? The purpose of a dream is to create the strong magnetic pulling power that motivates you! The dream is what allows you to easily achieve your shorter-term goals. The dream is what sustains you and keeps you going no matter how hard it gets. Just think of the saying, “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.

I’ve studied many of the world’s most successful people for several years now, and one of the things ALL of these people have in common is a well-defined dream and strong sense of purpose. They know exactly WHY they do what they do. What is your “why”? You absolutely must define this for yourself if you want to feel motivated each and every day.

Please take some time today to figure out your “why.” Maybe you already have some goals you would like to achieve, but what is the REAL reason you want those things? If your goals have no depth or greater purpose, they are NOT going to motivate you! This is one of the big mistakes people make when setting goals. They think on a very surface level only. They know WHAT they want but they don’t know WHY they want it, and this is exactly why they don’t achieve their desires. The pulling power is not strong enough. The WHAT is your goal; the WHY is your dream. Dreams are much more powerful than goals. So, what is your dream? Think BIG. When you are on your death bed, what will you hope to have accomplished? What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind for the benefit of mankind? Now that is big thinking!

It’s important to note that your purpose and your dream are not fixed in stone. It will change constantly because YOU are changing constantly. Don’t worry about getting it “right.” You can literally just make it up if you don’t have a clue. This exercise is designed to help you think bigger and broader, because as you do, your motivation will increase. Many people who do this find themselves jumping out of bed every day full of energy and enthusiasm. If this sounds good to you, don’t overlook these methods!

It is strongly recommended that you write down a description of your dream on paper in the present tense as if you had already achieved it. This begins to program your mind to seek out opportunities to help you achieve those dreams. Your mind is like a super advanced GPS. Whatever destination you program into your mind, your mind will automatically seek for a clear path and will bring to your attention exactly what you need to do to get there. But guess what? If you don’t program in a destination, your brain can’t help you get there! You have to know where you are going first. So, where are you going?

Here are some questions you can ask yourself to figure out your purpose and your bigger dreams in life:

If I knew I could not fail, what would I aim for?

If I could live for 300 years, what would my long term goal be?

If I could help 100 million people with just ONE thing, what would it be?

Please take some time to write down your dream. Take at least 1 hour every week to sit down and review this dream of yours. You can revise it or add to it every week until you feel it accurately represents what you really desire in this life and beyond. This one simple practice of defining your dream is one of the most powerful and effective things you could possibly do to guarantee your happiness and success in life. Please don’t overlook the importance of this.

With your dream clearly defined, you will now find it much easier to set and achieve your shorter term goals. Your dream will create a strong gravitational pull that takes most of the effort out of achieving your goals. You won’t be pushing yourself forward now. You will be attracted by something much greater than yourself. This invisible force is what will pull you out of bed every day and make you actually want to take action. If you’ve been feeling lazy or just unhappy with the speed of your progress, you now know how to fix that!

Now that you know the importance of creating a well-defined dream, let’s move on and briefly discuss how to choose the right kind of goals.

How to Choose Goals That Energize You

The right kind of goals give you energy. A goal is not very useful if it doesn’t excite you or if the process of achieving it drains you of your energy. You want the ride to success to be a joyous one, right? It’s all about the journey, not the destination. Setting the right kind of goals is what will ensure that each step of the journey is a fulfilling one.

The formula for proper goal setting contains 3 key elements. Here is the formula:

Exciting Goal + Pure Belief = Massive Action (Results)

Notice that the formula says “exciting” goal, not just any goal. This means that your goals must not be too small. It must be big enough to challenge and excite you but not so big that it doesn’t allow for the next piece of the puzzle: pure belief. A small goal won’t excite you, but a goal that is too big will be too difficult for you to fully believe in. Without the element of belief, massive action won’t be taken. This is why it is so important to choose the right goals for yourself.

Let’s do a simple exercise that will help you determine which goals you should be focusing on. I’d like you to get out a piece of paper and write down about 20 things you desire to be, do, or have in your life. Don’t limit yourself. Just write down whatever comes to mind. Go ahead and do this now. I’ll wait…

Now that you have your list of 20 things, go through each item and use a scale of 1-10 to rate your level of belief in your ability to achieve each thing on your list. For example, let’s say you wrote down you want to earn a million dollars in the next 3 years. Does that goal excite you? Probably. However, what is your level of belief in your ability to actually achieve it? If your level of belief is only a 2 or 3, then it’s not a good goal for you to focus on. The best goals are goals that you can rate as a 7 or above on the belief scale. Anything below 7 should be put off until later, after you achieve your smaller goals. Achieving the smaller goals will build your self-confidence. One year from now, your level of belief in earning 1 million dollars might be a lot higher than it is now. At that point, you can switch your focus to the bigger goals and easily achieve them due to your high level of belief.

As you can see, not all goals are made equal. A goal that you can’t fully believe in is not a good goal because belief is a key element in the achievement process. Many people on this planet would love to become a millionaire. So, why aren’t most people millionaires? Because most people don’t believe they can be one! Without belief, no action happens and therefore no results occur. Set goals that excite you and goals that you really believe you can achieve. If you have these 2 elements in place, you will surprise yourself at how quickly you achieve those goals.

An additional note: I recommend focusing on only 1 or 2 goals at a time. You don’t want to spread your focus thin. For example, if earning more money is very important for you right now, put all your energy and focus into hitting your income goal. After you have achieved your goal, you can switch your focus to something else, such as your health or your relationships. Many people fail because they want to do everything at once. This is a recipe for overwhelm and procrastination. While it might seem like you will make more progress by focusing on many things at once, the opposite is actually true. Focusing on ONE thing until it is accomplished and then moving on to the next thing dramatically reduces the time it takes to achieve every goal on your list because you are maximizing your focus. Focusing on 3 or 4 things at once will give you a little progress in each area but overall it will take you much longer to achieve your desired outcome in all of those areas than it would if you just focused on each one individually until it was accomplished.

Follow these simple guidelines for effective goal-setting and you will go far. You should now have a big dream for motivation and some specific goals to aim for. The final step in the process is removing internal resistance, which I will discuss briefly in the next section.

How to Remove Internal Resistance

On the path to success, you will encounter internal resistance. This leads to what is most commonly known as procrastination. I’m sure you are very familiar with it. We all are. But what is the root cause of procrastination? FEAR.

While having dreams and goals will motivate you, if you are still full of fears and insecurities, you will struggle to take the action steps required to achieve those goals. The good news is that if you know how to eliminate resistance and fear, you can achieve major goals quickly and easily.

Here are some suggestions for eliminating internal resistance:

  1. Learn the emotional release process. You can get a powerful set of tools to help you master this process here.
  1. Brainwash yourself with positive messages. You can use my FREE affirmations on audio at to do this easily. You can also do this by reading self-help books or listening to audio programs on a daily basis. This is like nutritious food for your mind. It strengthens your willpower and helps you develop a positive attitude that will naturally lead you to achieving all your goals in life.
  1. Choose love and kindness always. Fear leads to judgement and criticism of self and others, which is not constructive or helpful in any way. Simply making the decision to be loving and kind towards all of life, including yourself, at all times, is a decision that will gradually eliminate all fear from your life. Don’t overlook the importance of this.

What to Do Next

Simple. Immediately begin to APPLY what you have learned in this short guide. I promise you that your life will transform in a major way if you do. Do NOT move on to the next book or program until you apply what you learned today. Here is what you need to know:

  1. Define your BIG dream. Imagine you had 300 years to live. What would you hope to accomplish in this time? Think bigger than just yourself. What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind for your children or grandchildren? What do you want to leave for all of mankind? The purpose of a dream is not necessarily to achieve the dream. It is primarily for providing you with the inspiration and motivation you need to feel good every day and take the actions you need to take in order to grow as a person. It’s about the journey, not the destination, but it still helps tremendously to keep a destination in mind because it takes a lot of the ‘effort’ and ‘struggle’ out of life.
  2. Write down your goals and focus on the ones that excite you and the ones that you actually believe you can accomplish. This combination of excitement + belief will lead you to take massive action and therefore get real results quickly. Review your goals often. Keep them on your mind and your mind will automatically help you achieve them.
  3. Release fear and negative emotions. Never nurture negativity. Bombard your mind with positive messages that override the negativity within you. Spend time every day reading and studying information that inspires you. This is necessary to keep the mind positive and pure. As within, so without. A great attitude will lead you to success. Never forget it!
