Secrets of Success: How to Use the “Law of Causality” to Create a Life You Absolutely Love

In today’s post, we’ll talk about one of the secrets of success called the “law of causality” and how you can use it to get more of what you want in life…

When you look at someone who has something that you want, a level of success that you desire, or certain circumstances that you would like to have in your life as well, it’s important to understand what truly created those circumstances…

The Secrets of Success Lie Beneath the Surface…

People tend to look at the physical advantages a person has. They might know the right people, have a lot of money, or have a good job. Apparently, they found the right strategy or tactic and that’s why they’re successful, or so it seems…

So most people are looking at the external things and what you can see with your eyes. That’s very natural, but if you only look at those things, you’re missing the underlying cause of why that person is as successful as they are.

I have a little diagram here that explains this in a simple way…

Most people are looking at the A -> B -> C, the sequence of events in the external world or the sequence of actions that a person took to get where they want to go…

So let’s say the letter “C” is the result you want. Naturally, when you look at someone who has this outcome, you might look at the “A” and the “B”, everything that preceded the successful outcome of “C”…

What were the action steps? What were the circumstances? How did that person grow up? What strategies or tactics did they use? You will look at the things you can see with your eyes in the physical world. But that is missing the point…

Because this A -> B -> C is stemming from an underlying cause, something deeper, something invisible

The “law of causality” basically says that for every effect there is a cause, and for every cause that you can see with your eyes in the physical world, there is a deeper underlying cause that is invisible, the ABC that creates the A -> B -> C

Most people are looking at the action steps, the sequence of events or circumstances or the strategies and tactics, but they’re not looking at what made that person take action and actually achieve the end result.

Why is it that some people can take certain action steps and get very little results while other people can take those same exact actions and get amazing results?

Tactics & Strategies Barely Matter

Let’s say someone starts a t-shirt business. They start selling t-shirts and they become massively successful with it. Then someone might look at that and say, “oh, t-shirt business, that’s the new opportunity, that’s the big thing, that’s what I should be doing.”

You think if you use those same strategies, you will get the same results. And that is just not the case. If you look around, you can see that while everyone is chasing the same opportunities, only a small percentage of those people actually succeed and get to the end result they desire.

The true reason for someone’s success is not the “A” and then “B” actions that preceded the “C” result. In reality, it’s the “ABC”, the underlying, invisible force that gave the person the power to complete the sequence in the real world and get the result.

So what does that mean? What is the “ABC”?

The True “Cause” of Success

The “ABC” is your state of mind, your state of consciousness, your world-view, your perspective, or your energy you might say. It is who you have become as a person.

If you look at the most successful people in the world, they all have certain qualities and characteristics that allow them to be as successful as they are.

Look at qualities & Virtues, Not Tactics & Strategies

It’s not that they just stumbled upon the right opportunity, or took the right actions, or were in the right place at the right time, or grew up under ideal circumstances. If you look at successful people, you’ll see that they had a wide range of backgrounds and upbringings. Some people have very difficult upbringings, others had easy upbringings, but they had the same end result.

It’s not your upbringing, it’s not your circumstances, it’s not your actions or who you know or how much money you have. None of those things are the reason for anyone’s success.

You have to look deeper at the invisible causes, and that is the kind of person you are being…

Time for Honest Self-Inventory

Are you a generous person? Are you a leader? Are you courageous? Are you interested in the success and well-being of other people or are you only in it for yourself?

Two people can take the same actions, but one person does it with a genuine intention to serve and to help other people, while the other person does it with a selfish intention, a motive to just get what they want for themselves, but they don’t really care about others.

Which one of those people do you think is going to get better results?

Are you in it for the right reasons?

Usually it’s going to be the person who has a genuine, pure intention. Even if the selfish person gets what they want in the short term, it usually doesn’t last very long.

The people that are able to achieve success and maintain it for a long period of time are people who have developed the “ABC” and have become the kind of person who can succeed and who can continue to succeed no matter what they choose to do.

It’s not about the specific business they get into or the tactics and strategies they use. They could start a whole different business in a new industry and they would still be successful because it’s not about the A -> B -> C, it’s about the “ABC”.

It’s about who you become. Never forget that.

What’s For Breakfast? OR…

Most people put more thought into what they’re going to eat for breakfast than who they’re going to be and how they’re going to show up in this world.

I want to challenge you today to start thinking more deeply about the qualities and virtues that you want to adopt and develop within yourself. This is absolutely worth some of your time each and every day.

If you just focus on the “ABC” and on being the right kind of person, the results will take care of themselves.

How to Make Success Inevitable

You don’t have to struggle and strive for success. If you just become someone who is deserving of that success, someone who has good intentions, someone who wants to help people, someone who is courageous, who is a leader, who is loving and kind, then the results will take care of themselves in due time.

The most successful people are often the most generous people, the most willing to serve others. They’re the most courageous. They’re willing to put themselves out there, be a leader and be vulnerable.

If you’re struggling with self-confidence, this might help.

Choose. Then BE Who You Need to Be.

It’s the invisible “ABC” that truly matters. Remember this whenever you’re struggling to figure out what you should do with your life or what opportunity or strategy you should take advantage of. Realize that it doesn’t matter what strategy you use; it matters who you are in the process of implementing that strategy.

If you are the right kind of person, you will find a way to succeed. It might not work the first time, but if you’re the right type of person, you will persevere and you will continue to overcome your challenges and you will eventually succeed.

The people who give up and quit on their dreams are the people who have not mastered the ABC, the underlying invisible cause of success. If you don’t understand this, it will inevitably lead to a lot of frustration.

For a long time I tried to force my way to success, thinking “What tactic do I need to use? What strategy, what business do I need to go into? What do I need to do? I was missing the point and struggled a lot because of it.

I thought one of the secrets of success was to use the right tactic or strategy. It took me years of trial and error to realize that tactics and strategies are only about 5% of the overall equation…

Success stems not from what you do, but from who you are. This is the law of causality. This is the 95% you should focus on. The rest will take care of itself.
